Job Title: Senior Application Engineer

Location: Lagos

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• First Degree and a Post Graduate Qualification in Computer/Systems/ Electrical/ Electronic Engineering/Applied physics/ Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of working with, developing maintaining business applications.
• Proven roles in product and application development.
• Experience in ITIL Service Management and Software Development Lifecycle
• Knowledge and experience in Insurance or broader financial services industry will be an added advantage
• Excellent communication skills, strong team player, and the ability to work cross-functionally

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Developer or similar role
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications.
• Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. PHP, HTML/CSS, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) and UI/UX design
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. .NET, Java, Python, PLSQL) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache, IIS)
• Proven experience and knowledge of mobile application development stacks (e.g. Swift 4, Xcode, Android SDK, Gradle Build System)
• Experience in managing services provided by 3rd party vendors
• Knowledge of technology (existing and emerging) and its application in the insurance and financial services industry
