We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Finance / CFO – Energy Sector
Locations: Lagos and Abuja

About the Job

  • Responsible for all the company’s fiscal operating results, budgets, and regulatory agency and government reports ensuring the safeguard of Bank assets. Management of fiscal control and profitability. Present and interpret financial reports to senior management.

Responsibilities

  • Implementing effective financial management controls by creating effective controls documents and processes for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks.
  • Monitor ongoing CBN framework and other bank regulatory requirements. This would be done by developing a framework for monitoring compliance with regulatory requirements and timelines.
  • Ensuring that there are no gaps in the Transaction Processing (TP) system and all transactions have associated journal entries. Also constantly, evaluating the efficiency and effectiveness of the TP system
  • Creation of financial policies and processes documents. Ensuring alignment of Financial policies with the Enterprise Resource Processing (ERP) system. Ensure the Bank’s core banking application embeds financial and
  • Financial reporting, creation of financial policies and processes documents.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess relevant qualifications with 8 – 12 work experience
  • Working knowledge of budgeting, planning, management accounting and corporate finance
  • Strong knowledge of financial management systems, accounting policies and standards; tax management, P & L, cost accounting etc.
  • Good knowledge of financial and statutory reporting, IFRS accounting standards.
  • Technologically savvy with good understanding and experience with IT, Billing & accounting (ERP) software implementation and deployment
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills with an ability to engage with others to achieve positive results
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to build rapport across various stakeholders and effectively communicate and interact with top level management.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, coaching, mentoring and people management skills
