Job Details / Goals
To develop and maintain the long-term relationship between Oracle and designated customers to support Applications Cloud/SaaS revenue growth.

Scope:

  • Reports to Applications Sales Director
  • Has no direct reports, but leads the activities of virtual teams in support of customers
  • Works in a designated industry on a defined customer list and cooperates with his Technology Sales Representative counterpart as well as Senior Apps Account Manager
  • Works to identify and cover all organisations (including existing Oracle customers) that fall into their designated account list focusing on building a strong pipeline and closing opportunities in a timely fashion in the Nigerian region.
  • Works with appropriate Oracle Partners, i.e. resellers, SI’s, ISV’s, technology partners and alliances
  • Works with Pre Sales, Marketing and other Lines of Business (LOBs) to maximize the return from the assigned set of accounts
  • Works towards an allocated License sales and Applications Cloud/SaaS (software as a service) sales revenue target

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

  • Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts/non-named accounts/geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).
  • Primary job duty is to sell business applications software/solutions and related services to prospective and existing customers. Manage sales through forecasting, account resource allocation, account strategy, and planning. Develop solution proposals encompassing all aspects of the application. Participate in the development, presentation and sales of a value proposition. Negotiate pricing and contractual agreement to close the sale. Identify and develop strategic alignment with key third party influencers.
  • Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in the area of specialization. 8 years applicable experience including 7 years of sales experience. Successful sales track record. Ability to penetrate accounts, meet with stakeholders within accounts. Oracle knowledge and/or knowledge of Oracle’s competitors. Interaction with C level players. Team player with strong interpersonal /communication skills. Excellent communication/negotiating/closing skills with prospects/customers. Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.

Knowledge and Competency Requirements:

  • Understanding and experience of selling Cloud solutions is a plus
  • Capacity to comprehend the strategic issues of selling Enterprise applications solutions, including ERP & HCM
  • Fluent in English is a must

  • A track record in developing successful propositions for the provision of transformational and operational services for mission critical environments in major organisations.  
  • Extensive, broad-based expertise across large scale project-based IT design/deploy/migrate type services engagements and also in the area of mission critical production operations and support.  They have proven experience in industry standard project delivery and service management best practice.  
  • Significant direct experience in services roles with external IT services providers
  • Broad understanding of typical enterprise applications, IT infrastructures, public and on-premises cloud, including but not limited to Oracle technologies
  • Significant customer facing presentation and interaction experience in consulting and trusted advisor roles with C-level executives in relation to IT services articulating service and technology solutions in terms of business value and risk.
  • Extensive industry knowledge and expertise in cloud adoption and cloud services
  • Experience in IT project and programme management, including major IT transformation, migration and solution deployment projects
